Milo’s story is a little different from most of the residents here at The Little Black Goat—he was actually born right here at the sanctuary.
Last year, we welcomed two rams into our care. Before they were neutered, they obviously had a little more contact with one of our girls, Honey, than we realized! We had absolutely no idea she was pregnant until she unexpectedly gave birth in March.
After a traumatic birth, Honey wasn’t interested in caring for little Milo, and being so small, he needed us to step in. A few days later, Milo was living in our house, being bottle-fed and cared for around the clock.
As a sanctuary, we don’t condone or intentionally breed animals, but sometimes unexpected things happen—and Milo was certainly unexpected. ❤️
He quickly became incredibly near and dear to our hearts. From a tiny little house lamb to the happy boy he is today, Milo will always have a special place here at The Little Black Goat. 🐑🌿
