Meet Penny, our tiny but mighty Viking hen!
Around the same time Crooks came into our care, we were contacted about a little hen in need of a safe place to land. With two roosters here at the sanctuary, the timing couldn’t have been better, and we were happy to welcome Penny into the flock.
She may be little, but Penny certainly isn’t lacking in personality. She is a feisty little thing who knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to let everyone know it!
One of Penny’s favourite things to do is get up as high as she possibly can. If there’s a perch, ledge or high spot to investigate, chances are Penny has already claimed it as her own.
Now Penny gets to spend her days exploring, socializing with her flock and finding the very best lookout spots around the sanctuary—all while simply getting to live life on her own terms. 🐔🌿❤️
